Imagine Bangalore traffic with this ...

On a lighter note, just imagine Bangalore's traffic landscape (err... airscape) if we all were allowed to let loose in these personal helicopters!? Looks like they are almost here.

Silkboard, The last time i saw this thread was on http://slashdot.org the first comment was "hey there is gonna be a wee bit of a parking problem"
Now that you have added Bangalore to the equation, lets have some more fun eh?
1) what copters are the cops gonna use?
2) Do we need an AAI approved ATC?
3) Gawd! what milage do you get?

There are plans to have 6-7 Helipads in Bangalore. There is one in Electronic CIty, UB City, Vidhan Soudha and ITPL. Deccan did launch a service from ITPL to CBD and that cost a passenger Rs 30,000. So quite obviously it was failure. The govt had a proposal which was to use Helicopters for all VIP transport. Though its good for traffic, it was a BIG expense! Airport to City via chopper makes sens, within the city - i don't know about the cost factor!
I was only trying to imagine Bangalore's skies if the present set of drivers started using these personal flying machines. What would that be like!?
What if our traffic cops had a dozen of these? Imagine them hovering over rash drivers at random, that should be fun!
Speaking of regulat helicpoters, does Bangalore Police have any? Should come handy to reach accident spots, as well as some policing from the skies. But I haven't seen any ever.
