Earlier this year in August Pune saw some frantic road digging in the name of erecting Ganesh Pandals. This video from Ranjit Gadgil gives a taster

Then came the preparation for showcasing Pune as a global city by putting up road signages every where (just days before the games), yet again, check out Ranjit's images and notice how the signs have been erecetd in the middle of footpaths.

Now its time for Diwali and we start all over again

And the administration and politicians are going on and on about Pune being a silicon valley, a global city blah blah blah.
