Bengaluru footpath issues/solution srinidhi - 13-APR-2019
Bangalore footpaths are unusable at many places and the result is that pedestrians are forced onto the roads where they run a risk of getting hit by vehicular traffic. Many interesting videos are done to show this problem. A recent one by Malleshwaram Socail is here below:

So its a tale of two roads where tar is being relaid in our city now..
KH road work started last week and a nice thick coat of tar is already laid. However the Mysore road flover work started 2 weeks ago and is not half done yet! |

BDA makes a well planed layout with roads for proper connectivity. BBMP has the audacity to issue a khata for the public road to a company owned by former chief minister Yeddyurappa (Sons), who in turn block, a BDA road! |

This DH Report on 10/May notes: "The State government has long-term plans to build tunnel roads in the City to ease traffic congestion" said ..... Minister R Ashok on Monday. Consider this against the effort spent reducing the length of Namma Metro Under Ground alignment. Binny Mills to KG Bus Stand is one such tunnel road being discussed. Fortunately, "the proposals are in preliminary stage and nothing concrete has emerged so far, he said". BTW, Namma metro's west bound UG alignment is not too far away! |
