From TOI today:

"The cabinet on Tuesday decided to hand over 102 acres of land to Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE), BMIC project promoters, to eliminate the bottlenecks on the link and peripheral ring roads (PRR). This grant is restricted only to link and peripheral ring roads; there is no clearance for land grant related to expressway connecting Bangalore and Mysore. "

This excludes land needed for the gotigere link..which will be done after the court directions..this is still a good news for all!

I seriously hope so

Blrsri,

I hope they finish the NICE PRR quickly now.  Big issue is still Gottigere.  I also hope it dawns on the powers that be to help extend this from NH4 till NH7 so that we have some sort of alternate route from E-City to BIAL.

EC to BIAL via NICE

Srivathsa, There was a plan by Shri K H Muniyappa to divert traffic coming onto Bengaluru on NH-4 from Tumkur via Dabaspete-Devanahalli and then from NH-7 to Bangaore via Hebbal. I don't know if it has been implemented yet. This just means that there is an Ad-hoc road which can connect EC via NICE, provided this crucial link in Gottigere is complete.
