Bangalore - Mysore Track Doubling & Electrification - when? eralilebby - 3-OCT-2012
I regularly commute between Mysore and Bangalore both by Road and Rail. While it takes roughly between 3 to 4 hours by road depending upon the time and traffic, train takes between 2 to 3 hours even with the tracks being only partially doubled. So the need of the hour is to fast track the doubling and electrification of this section to bring down the travel time between 1&1/2 to 2 hours. |

Offlate BMTC is sub contracting lots of Buses to Private Companies like Manyata Embassy, ORRCA etc resulting in the reduction of frequency for common passengers especially in the peak hours. Also, there are too many buses in some route and very little in few routes. |

Incidents of KSRTC drivers dying of cardiac arrest and stress related problems are on the rise. The latest one being reported on 15-Apr-2012. As if there is a divine intervention, in all these incidents, the drivers have either stopped driving or have swapped places with the second driver in the bus, thus avoiding absolute mayhem on the roads.
