BMTC in Metro Times

Vasanth - 27-JUN-2017

Ever since the launch of Metro, especially after East West Purple line was fully implemented, Bengaluru is saying 'Metro, Metro'. BMTC commuters, office bus users and many car drivers have switched over to Metro.  Ridership has already touched 1.8 Lakhs on purple line.

Bangalore Commuter Rail / Suburban Rail : GOK and GOI equally responsibile for not implementing

Sanjeev - 25-JUN-2017

GOK is not serious on suburban rail by looking at last 7-8 yrs progress on suburban rail.  DPR  is pending & No follow ups from GOK with Railway Officials.

Foreigners in city..deport or not!

srinidhi - 27-MAY-2017

The recent arrest of the pakistani's in the city has raised lot of concerns at least in the press and questions too. Its a known fact that the porous nepal borders are an easy route for any one and everyone to enter India.

A request to Metro users

MaheshK - 21-MAY-2017

Took my first trip in namma metro yesterday from Majestic to Indiranagar. Its 15 minutes journey spot on. Station and tokens were good. Some north Indians trying to cut the que which was expected as they do in Delhi and Gurgaon.

Modern cities need efficient movement of people and goods both in and out o and within the city to reach their potential as productive, vibrant, liveable places.

Now UG tunnels for city?!

srinidhi - 25-APR-2017

Objections to steel flyovers and cutting of trees has apparently led the governament to look taking vehicular traffic underground!

Trees planted but WRONG intentions!!

srinidhi - 13-MAR-2017

Initially when the TenderSURE works started, it was decided that there would be no new trees planted. This was an autrocious decission as there cannot be pedestrains on the footpath without tree shade in our city.

abandoned vehicle parked near horamavu agar lake

swarrier - 18-FEB-2017

There is an abandoned vehicle near horamavu agar lake for more than one year. I had posted in public eye but they closed it saying appropriate action is taken. and even now the vehicle is there. I have tried sending mail to bangalore traffic police but there is no reponse.

An abandoned vehicle in a residential area is not a good sign and it doesnt give the feeling of safety.
