How many more deaths we need before a pedestrian over bridge at Kadugodi? Every morning and evening we witness very sad scenes at this major point of Whitefield. The railway crossing connecting Kadugodi population, the Bus stand and Railway Station is causing lot of difficulties for all. |

Please do not extend Bangalore's trains to Mysore Tejaswi KR - 18-JAN-2013
A humble request to the railways from me would be to refrain from extending trains of Bangalore to Mysore as the needs of the capital are manifold greater than the heritage city. If need be, new trains can be introduced from Mysore to different places, but let the trains of Bangalore be left alone. |

There are state highways, and national highways, who builds and maintains what is pretty clear. Viability analysis and rate of return on investment is not the top consinderation when state, such as Karnataka decides to upgrade a state highway, or just build a new road to connect a new district.

Bangalore - Mysore Track Doubling & Electrification - when? eralilebby - 3-OCT-2012
I regularly commute between Mysore and Bangalore both by Road and Rail. While it takes roughly between 3 to 4 hours by road depending upon the time and traffic, train takes between 2 to 3 hours even with the tracks being only partially doubled. So the need of the hour is to fast track the doubling and electrification of this section to bring down the travel time between 1&1/2 to 2 hours. |
