It may be a good idea to hold the cycle day event held at layouts and localities in Bangalore, which are in close proximity to rail lines and railway stations. A lot of us who have grown up hearing the noise of the chugging trains relate to the concept of a suburban railway in comparison to others.

There has been renewed hope among some circles in Bangalore after the Union Railway Minister Mr. Sadananda Gowda made a mention in the Rail Budget about the much delayed Suburban Rail System. He spoke of a survey when a survey has already been done by RITES.

Metro Phase 2 Work is going to start shortly in a period of 6 months or so. Already tenders have been called for the demolition of acquired properties.

Imagine OMR- ORR Junction which is already fully choked with vehicles with Metro work on it for the extension to Whitefield.

Imagine already choked Whitefield roads with Metro work along that.

Workshop on Suburban Rail for Elected Representatives!

Yesterday, on Dec 10th, a workshop on 'Suburban Rail' for elected representatives was organzied jointly by Praja-RAAG, Bangalore Needs You and IIMB. This was an initiative by Prof. Rajeev Gowda to bring the awareness among the elected representative. This workshop was organized at Conference Hall in Vidhana Soudha.
