Get information on your MP through SMS

To get information about the MP from your constituency (or any other for that matter), SMS " MYNETA <PINCODE>" to 56070.

For eg, for Sheshadripuram (Bangalore South) I would SMS "MYNETA 560020".

Why there is avoidable delay in bringing in electoral reforms? Who is holding up the suggestions made by well known analysts like Mr.L.K.Jain and a host of others to create a transparent and accountable political system and a better vibrant society?

Should a minimum level of education be mandatory for election candidates?

At a recent TV9 meeting with H D Kumaraswamy and D K Shivakumar, someone suggested that parties should only field candidates with a minimum level of formal education. To which DKS responded that Politics needs common sense, not education. And HDK pointed out that the lack of education should not limit someone aspiring for political office. What do you guys think?

Mysoreans had a highly appreciable peaceful bi-election held in late 2008 in Mysore due to the unflinching efforts of throwing all relevant rule books at the aspiring candidates concerning their ways of behaving, election code, excise rules, public nuisance, pollution, 'keep away from constituency - 48 hours earlier' etc.
