Late in 2008, core members met and asked around on how the website should be structured. This page has the conslidated and evolved suggestions that resulted from this input gathering exercise.

Home Page

Landing page should be simple and designed for casual visitors, not the regular members or readers. It should have:

The Steering committee proceedings documents were provided by KSIIDC after the meeting between Praja members and Mr. Nagesh DyGM, KSIIDC on 13th Dec 2008.  The documents were obtained from KSIIDC on the 2nd of January.

In to days Times of India article Mr. Praveen Sood Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic) has articulated his concern about the pedestrians and the problems faced by the traffic police in enforcing the traffic rules. In democracy people get what they deserve.

The joys of crossing a road

The pedestrian chaos at ORR-Old Madras Road interchange can'tt be stated in words, so I tried this video last week (find it below). The place is a live example of collaboration, lack of it rather, between multiple sarkaari bodies. Bring this up with a babu in Bangalore and instead of ideas or initiatives, you will get stories of how things can only fall between NHAI, Railways, BDA, and the Traffic Police but not improve. Oh yeah, the job of taking initiatives is best left to the citizens.

Metro construction and safety

Really concerned how many more irresponsible accidents are going to happen before this project is completed. I get the feeling this project is being run like a govt housing construction for the EWS.

This is one landmark which was quintessentially Bangalore..

Much before the CCD's and Baristas entered the scene, this place was a hangout for all and a more affordable one at that!

Even school kids could afford the toast at this place..
