BMTC's business-oriented outlook

murali772 - 8-SEP-2008

To compensate for the losses in the regular operations, BMTC is now having to look at newer and newer avenues, though in the process they may be deviating totally from their original mandate. The increased contract services for schools and IT sector companies, etc are a part of all that.

General background

Bangalore Transportation Summit

shas3n - 8-SEP-2008

BMLTA and TransInnova are organising Bangalore Transportation Summit on 10th and 11th September. Here (http://www.bmlta.org/TransportSummit) are a few more details and here (http://www.bmlta.org/sites/default/files/Schedule.pdf)is the schedule. Who is who of Bangalore Transport is expected to be there. Anybody from Praja planning to go? It does not mention if it is an open event or invitation only. If it is invitation only, I guess it wont be too hard to get an invite if we ask BMLTA nicely.

This news report is utterly shocking. What is even more surprising is there is not one word of protest in the country. Read:
