ORR bottleneck - Bhadrappa Layout idontspam - 7-NOV-2009
It is a good move by BDA to make the ORR Bhadrappa layout junction signal free. This junction assumes significance due to the fact that most of Sanjaynagar and RMV layout and gazillion other layouts in between use the Dr Rajagopal road/Gundappa road to reach ORR go towards the airport. |

We have also seen and heard about other citizen's (may or may not be Praja members) attempts at connecting with city's local bodies. |

Road width over pavement - Marathahalli example silkboard - 19-OCT-2009
First of all, credits to BDA or BBMP or ABIDe (who knows!?) or whoever is thinking about bus interchange points like Marathahalli ring Road and improving the pedestrian amenities there. So yes, something is better than nothing. However, if you watch the work, uncalled for and unscietific preference to road width over pavement is visible. Sample some pictures. |

Namma Bengaluru's struggle to manage its growth is partly a result of its broken governance structure. Central area of city had a municipality, which was expanded to cover sorrounding areas much after chaos has crept in on the peripheries. Even after the expansion, certain critical areas like transportation and water are not directly controlled by the local government. |

Analyze and highlight Bellandur lake issues psaram42 - 8-SEP-2009
This is a project to understand and highlight Bellandur Lake's survival issues. Lake bed, wet land encorachment, discharge of sewerage into the lake, dumping of construction debris on the lake shores, eating into the channel that takes water down to Varthur lake are some of the issues threatening Bellandur lake. |

As such, we have never tried to meet or engage with BDA here. This project would be the first attempt. Join this project only if you want to help plan meetings and RTIs. |
