July 4th Bus Day would be 16th Bus Day, a PT ritual that is being observed by BMTC and its faithful commuters since it was started in Feb 2010.

The 'Last Mile' myth

Naveen - 26-JUN-2011

I think the many repeated questions raised about 'Last Mile Connectivity' is more of a creation by the very large affluent private vehicle loving public in this city that loathes walking even short distances to & from bus stops, rather than reality.

A non-stop Fast Public Transport Service on Elevated Road from Silkboard To Electronic City

dvsquare - 19-APR-2011

A few days back, I had to go to Electronics city with a friend of mine, I rarely go towards that side (Hosur Road) generally. And that was the first time, we took the Elevated Flyover over the Hosur Road. I thought of an idea/suggestion that if a BMTC mini-bus kind of vehicle can just do a to-and-fro from Start of the Flyover (near SilkBoard) and Electronics-City toll-post.

Nisha Thompson - 8-FEB-2011

Hi Everyone,

My name is Nisha and I'm writing an article on the commuter rail for IJanaagraha.  I have a few questions for this community.  If you can answer a few that would be really helpful.

Hi Everyone,

BMTC Bus Day – It’s a date or live-in-relationship?

kbsyed61 - 7-FEB-2011

On Feb 2nd, BMTC observed its first Bus Day anniversary and announced that Bus Day will be observed in other cities/towns like Mysore, Dharwar and Hubli. It was a subtle message that the monthly ritual of Bus day in Bengaluru would continue. I was very curious to know what BMTC is planning for this year as a result of one year learning via 12 Bus Days.

Time to Corporatise Autorickshaws?

vijaypadiyar - 2-JAN-2011
