Elevated 'through' corridor concept - a "plus" inside Outer Ring Road

Talking of vehicle movements, one need not addressed very well yet inside Bangalore city is separation of long-distance movements with local movements. One way this might be getting done today for goods movement  is by routing their city entry from the point nearest to destination on Outer Ring Road.

regarding peripheral ring road (PRR) - between Dobbaspet & Hosur

I came across a news item that a peripheral ring road is being planned between Dobbaspet & Hosur.

Minibus that BMTC needs for local shuttles?

Some of us think that operating local shuttles as the last mile / local connect option will help bring more people from deeper areas to the trunk routes, and thus make public transport better. However, BMTC folks don't find local shuttles to be viable. One reason given for un-viability is minibus design.

LAMP for a suburban area - starter list

Whitefield Local Area Mobility Plan (LAMP)

So far, all mobility planning in Metropolitan area of Bangalore happens with central city in mind. However, Bengaluru's future is mostly in the hands of its suburban areas and satellite towns. Planning for mobility for a suburban area has a few different angles to it. There are few clear categories of needs, Examples of these, in Whitefield/Mahadevapura context

CRS will be a boon for IT professionals

Rithesh Swamy lives near the Yelahanka Railway Station. Yet, his travel to ITPL is cumbersome as there are no connecting trains till ITPL from Yelahanka during peak office hours. The KR Puram, Hebbal and Marathahalli junctions are chock-a-block with vehicles in peak hours. A well-networked commuter rail will provide some respite, say passengers.

Buses to Ply on Avenue Road finally after 4 decades?

Avenue Road, Mysore Bank, India Coffee House, Subhas Book Store, Old books, Khadi Bhandar? Do these landmarks rings bell?

I sure am all the college students specilaly engineering students and old timers like Murali Sir, Me (even though much younger) would certainly can connect all these. Why is Avenue road in our dicussions?
