Well, we are aware of so many layouts nemely "private" or "gated" layouts in Bangalore. One of my friend happens to live in such a layout. Here is "story" of  his layout.

Living in Indiranagar or any other BDA locality in Bangalore is like living in wilderness devoid an identity.  One cannot blame BDA entirely for this a seeming short sightedness. After all engineers are supposed to put to practice the engineering what they have learnt by rote.

Total disarray in governance?

BDA makes a well planed layout with roads for proper connectivity. BBMP has the audacity to issue a khata for the public road to a company owned by former chief minister Yeddyurappa (Sons), who in turn block, a BDA road!

Just came back from another week long Singapore trip. Every time you look at those high rise apartments, can't help wonder how Bangalore would benefit if it had its share. It would have been impossible for Singapore to be that green without them.
