Karnataka High Court Judgement on Land Acquisition for PRR kizarmd786 - 14-SEP-2011
It is quite unfortunate that the Honourable High Court of Karnataka had quashed the BDA recent preliminary Notification for acquisition of 372 acres of land in connection with the formation of Peripheral Ring Road to ease the vehicular traffic. BDA wanted this extent of land for approach roads and Toll Plazas. Further, they needed land for forming FLY OVERS. |
Compensation for PRR Farmers in Bangalore kizarmd786 - 14-AUG-2011
Today ie., 14-08-2011, I have read an article in the TIMES OF INDIA on the quantum of compensation the Govt. of Karnataka is willing to pay to the farmers who have lost their pieces of land for the formation of Kempegowda Lay Out between Mysore Road and Magadi Road. The Govt. is willing to pay Rs. 1 crore for one acre of land acquired for the above purpose. |
Peripheral Ring Road needed immediately kizarmd786 - 25-JAN-2009
Dear Prajayists, I wonder what happened to the Peripheral Ring Road Phase-1 in Bangalore connecting Hosur Road-Old Madras Road-Bellary Road-Tumkur Road. In the month of June 2008 the Govt had sanctioned an amount of Rs. 3000 crores for laying of this road by BDA. Land Acquisition process is over and objections were minimal thanks to the TDR facility offered by the BDA in the Master Plan 2015. |

Peripheral Ring Road is back with BDA silkboard - 13-JUN-2008
The Peripheral Ring Road is back. Not much new as far as the specs are concerned, but the big changes are, one, BDA (state govt) will be executing it, not NHAI (central govt) and two, it will be a PPP project.
