Moving The Finish Line The Bangalore Way 07/13/07 11:41 - tsubba
Sticking with it for over a decade now, to get a pioneering legal framework setup and then going on to implement the country's first greenfield airport project, BIAL's Albert Brunner has shown that he's a lambe race ka ghoda. But with Bangalore continuously moving the finish line, he's having a horrible time pacing the race. person tsubba's post | Read More |
Lacking Traffic Discipline in Bangalore 07/13/07 05:35 - rvas
Bangalore means Traffic - Wherever we see, we see jams, accidents, fights between drivers and much more unpredictable incidents. What is preventing Bangalore from having a clean, disciplined traffic. Few of the issues I found the difference between foreign countries and India in General and Bangalore in Particular are: 1. People are not afraid of Law and the Traffic Cops. person rvas's post | forum 17 Comments | Read More

07/11/07 10:44 - tsubbaBuried deep inside the pages is a very interesting piece of news. Is it Bidadi they are talking about? "Real estate giant DLF is set to bag a township project in Bangalore spread over 9,000 acres that could entail an investment of about $10-20 billion. person tsubba's post | Read More |
07/10/07 21:30 - tsubbaYet another pronouncement about elections to local urban bodies. HDK orders that the elections be setup by July 31 for all local bodies except BBMP. It might be the one legged cousin of super glamorous Metro. But the Mono project isn't dead if you thought so based on recent lack of news and updates on it. The Hindu reported that BMRC is close to making the call on picking a consultant for Mono. As expected, newspapers have more meat than BMRC website itself. However, BMRC has this cryptic sounding note on their news page right now: person silkboard's post | forum 14 Comments | Read More

Non-stop to San Francisco, finally! 07/08/07 06:43 - silkboard
Read today that Air India is planning a non-stop Bangalore - SFO connection. Cool! Long pending, this thing was. I have always wondered why Jet or Air India haven't tried to eat into all the money Lufthansa, Singapore, British etc are making on Bangalore - US West Coast routes. I bet once KingFisher gets its permit to fly abroad, we'd have another BLR-SFO direct. person silkboard's post | forum 6 Comments | Read More
