Another wide footpath sacrificed murali772 - 20-JAN-2012
These pictures are of the 5th cross, Vth block, Koramangala, the one-way road leading up to the Canara Bank junction. The road has over the years become almost totally commercial, with any number of eateries, shops and what have you, setting up there, making it an almost one-stop destination for all kinds of products and services for a large section of the Koramangala population. |
bialterminal - 17-DEC-2011
I had the privilege of watching the construction of a footpath in Southern California recently and capture some images over the few days the construction was in progress. I had always wondered how these good quality footpaths were constructed. |
murali772 - 10-DEC-2011
This picture was taken on the footpath opposite Aadishwar showroom on the intermediate ring road (some 50M before the start of the Domlur fly-over ramp - approaching from Koramangala side). While such instances are not isolated across the city, what I found unique about this particular installation was its cross-arm covering almost the entire width of the footpath. |

Skywalk near EGL campus on Inner Ring Road Domlur Junction dvsquare - 22-JUN-2011
As we have talked a lot about public transport as well as pedestrian friendly infrastructure, many of Prajagalu's must be aware of the fact that thousands of people cross the road in front of EGL campus/DELL office on Inner Ring Road, Domlur. Still there is no safe way and no right of way for the pedestrians. |

This was replaced by concrete slabs few years ago |
Bheema.Upadhyaya - 4-MAY-2011
I appriciate this facility by BTP/B-TRAC. This switch enables pedistrians to intervene automatic signal so that a green signal is forced for road crossing. As this seems relatively new, no one seems using it. Probably some volunteering work needed to educate users. We need more such signals at highways. |
